Hi. I’m Sir Smoke A Lot, aka Brian Anderson. I currently reside in St. Croix Falls, WI, but spent part of my life in Minnesota before attending high school in the barbecue hotbed of Memphis, TN. After returning to Minnesota for college, I was unable to find the same kind of barbecue that I grew to love down south.

Having been around kitchens and the food service business my whole life, I started cooking my own BBQ and making my own sauce. After twenty years of refining these skills I began competing in contests, including the "big leagues": Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) competitions.  I placed respectably in some early competitions in the Chicken and Ribs categories, and in 2009 took 1st Place in Chicken at the Big Island Bar-B-Que in Albert Lea, MN. While each award is very special to me, nothing beats the thrill of watching someone truly enjoy my barbecue at an event or catering job. When someone tells me it is the best they have ever had, it is truly humbling. Those are the "awards" that mean the most!
